The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing inspection work on the Birmingham Bridge which carries Route 2085 over the Monongahela River in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, will occur Friday, June 5 weather permitting.
To allow crews to conduct Birmingham Bridge inspection activities, a single-lane restriction will occur on southbound (outbound) Route 885 (Boulevard of the Allies) under the structure from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Friday.
Crews from HDR, Inc. and the Sofis Rigging Company will conduct bridge inspection work.
