The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing sidewalk reconstruction work on Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 4044) in Monaca Borough, Beaver County will begin Monday, July 20 weather permitting.
Single-lane restrictions controlled by flaggers will occur from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM weekdays through mid-October to accommodate sidewalk and curb reconstruction work.
This work is part of the $3.73 million Monaca Gateway project. The project includes replacing the stop-controlled intersection with a roundabout gateway design at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue/17th Street (Route 4044 and Route 0051) and extends along Pennsylvania Avenue (Route 4044) to 15th Street to the west.
