The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing improvement work on Montour Run Road (Route 3072) in Moon Township, Allegheny County will begin on Monday, April 27 weather permitting.
Widening work requiring traffic shifts in the eastbound direction of Montour Run Road between I-376 and Hookstown Grade Road will occur from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM weekdays through mid-September. Additionally, lane and shoulder restrictions will occur for full depth reconstruction work at the Scott Road and Park Manor Boulevard intersections with Montour Run Road.
Overnight and weekend work may occur during this phase of work. Additional information will be provided in advance of the next phase of work.
The work is part of a $6.29 million Market Place District Improvement project sponsored by the Moon Transportation Authority. The project includes drainage upgrades, signal improvements, milling and paving, guiderail updates, roadway widening, and pavement marking installation work. Mele & Mele & Son’s, Inc. is the prime contractor.
