Eastbound I-376 off-ramp to Edgewood (Exit 77) toward South Braddock Avenue closure to occur.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing lane restrictions on I-376 (Parkway East) in Churchill, Edgewood, and Swissvale boroughs, Allegheny County, will occur Friday night through Monday morning, August 28-31 weather permitting.

To accommodate approach reconstruction work, westbound I-376 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between the Churchill (Exit 79B) and Edgewood (Exit 77) interchanges from 9:00 PM Friday night continuously through 5:00 AM Monday morning. If work concludes ahead of schedule, the restrictions will be lifted early.

Additionally, the eastbound I-376 off-ramp to Edgewood (Exit 77) toward South Braddock Avenue (after the Edgewood/Swissvale split) will close to traffic from 9:00 PM Friday through 5:00 AM Sunday morning to accommodate bridge pier cap work. Traffic will be detoured.

The $100 million I-376 (Parkway East) betterment project will resurface the interstate and interchange ramps from the beginning of the Commercial Street Bridge in Edgewood Borough to the Monroeville (Exit 80) interchange in the Municipality of Monroeville. Additionally, bridge preservation to 20 structures including painting, approach slab replacement, concrete repairs, and other miscellaneous construction activities along with extensive drainage updates and a full concrete median barrier replacement. Safety improvements including a full highway lighting replacement from the Edgewood (Exit 77) to the PA Turnpike interchanges are included in this project. During the project, travelers can expect overnight and weekend lane restrictions on I-376 as well as short-term and long-term full closures of the interchange ramps. This project will be coordinated with other I-376 projects in the area. The overall project is anticipated to conclude in the spring of 2028. The Trumbull Corporation is the primary contractor.
